The caps are collected and delivered to our factory. Once here, our staff hand-sorts the caps according to color and they are crushed in our giant plastics granulators.
Next, the plastic is melted down and injected into steel molds that are specialized just for Weisenbach’s products. They design their machines and molds precisely for this type of recycled plastic.

After the finished pieces come out of the mold, they are custom printed or custom labeled by our staff in preparation for sale as useful new recycled products.
The number of items that can be created from the recycled material is as unlimited as our imaginations. From start to finish, the entire process is done here in the USA!
Unfortunately, demand for our recycled products made from caps has not been as great as the amount of material that we have received. We have collected more material than we can use, and we are working diligently to find alternative ways to recycle the material that we have already collected.
We have been forced to greatly scale back this program, instead of growing it as we had hoped. The only way that we can continue the program is to sell more recycled products. Yet another reason why it is so important to close the loop by buying recycled!
